Today, after being dumped by my boyfriend of two years, I poured my heart out to my dad. He nodded and looked sympathetic throughout. Afterwards, I asked him what I should do. He replied, "How the hell should I know?" and awkwardly left my room. FML

Today, I went to my father for advice. I've been seeing a wonderful girl for the past month, and I feel terrible about it, because I already have a girlfriend. He said "Kill yourself" and that if I "can't even do that right" then to get out of his house, because he disowns me. FML

Today, I was sitting in my room when my dad walked in to talk. He said I'm not the son he'd hoped for, and that he'd been let down as a father. He said I should change the way I am so that he could love me more. It was the longest conversation I've had with my dad in years. FML

I understand how you were feeling, but it really was only 3 months. Now, make that 6 months with a girl that loves you as much as you love her. Then, you have to break up because she has dance class every single day. Try doing that, and then see how much that hurts. Now grow some balls and get the hell over it. He probably was good enough for you anyway, but still FYL. Idk if you deserve it though.
