That's exactly what my father would have said and he's a wonderful parent because he was never a sycophant to his children, because he said how it was and not just what we wanted to hear, he gave us the gift of perspective. Something many people seem to lack. OP - Yeah, well done, break ups hurt princess. But save the killing yourself for when actual tragedy hits. Not a damn breakup after a three month relationship. You'll thank your Dad for this one day - as I did with mine. He sounds like a brilliant father and you'll be a lot more grounded and rational in the long run for having him in your life.

He is completely right you have only been dating for three months. Get over it and move on, if you let something as little as that get you down you will never make it though life.

She could be a teeny bopper that was crushing on this guy for a few years, & then somehow after actually getting to call him her bf for three months, it all goes down the pooper. If that's the case, then I kinda understand. But her dad & you guys are right... she'll be ok. She just needs to toughen up & know not to get too attached next time until she knows how the guy feels about her.
