Today, after being dumped by my boyfriend of two years, I poured my heart out to my dad. He nodded and looked sympathetic throughout. Afterwards, I asked him what I should do. He replied, "How the hell should I know?" and awkwardly left my room. FML

Today, I went to my father for advice. I've been seeing a wonderful girl for the past month, and I feel terrible about it, because I already have a girlfriend. He said "Kill yourself" and that if I "can't even do that right" then to get out of his house, because he disowns me. FML

Today, I was sitting in my room when my dad walked in to talk. He said I'm not the son he'd hoped for, and that he'd been let down as a father. He said I should change the way I am so that he could love me more. It was the longest conversation I've had with my dad in years. FML

I can see why you'd be depressed, breakups do hurt, but really? 3 months? that's nothing. you shouldn't be that attached after 3 months. and if you guys broke up, he probably wasn't the best anyway

Don't listen to them OP. I know it is easy to get attached to someone. what your dad said was not helpful for you on this time. just keep your head. I promise you it'll all turn out eventually. don't give up on life, though

ur dad ****** rocks, I have a one year old little girl and no matter how much I love her, I'm gonna tell her the same damn thing when she's your age, which i presume is pretty young
