Healthy lifestyle

Today, after years of training myself to crave healthier foods in order to lose weight, I found out that some of my favorite health foods actually aggravate my hypothyroidism, and indirectly reduce my metabolism. Broccoli and soybeans are making me fat. FML

I always knew my parents were wrong when they told me to eat my broccoli!

Lol! I recommend delicious meat and workouts :)

Me too. Lol try coffee and soda. The caffine helps your thyroid to work

I hate people who diet. Just eat healthy as much as you can, but more importantly is exercise. Trust me. You lose weight faster. I understand hypothryroidism is a completely different case, but to everybody else without a medical excuse, exercise is much more efficient than a "diet" (Which are pieces of **** anyway, just eat heathy, doesn't take a genius to figure out).

I kinda have an idea of how OP feels. I eat relatively healthy , only go out to buffets once very few months, and I love veggies and such. Can't eat greasy foods, I get sick. Haven't had mcdonalds in 6 years. If I have even one bite of anything from there, I get nauseous. I used a calorie tracker for a few weeks last month because I knew I would be pigging out a lot and I just wanted to see what damage I was doing. On a normal day, I was lucky if I topped 750 calories total. When I pigged out, I rarely went above 1100 calories. I walk just about everywhere or ride my bike, I can never seem to walk slow, and I am constantly moving my feet or legs. My weight fluctuates between 165 and 175, rarer hitting 180. When I work out, my metabolism gets worse. I have pcos btw. I actually like the way I look. I will never have a superdefinedwaist(bone structure :/) and I hve lordosis so my stomach always looks pushed out. Besides, without my stomach to balance the rest of me out, I'd look creepy . Sorry for the essay. Just thought I share some fellow frustration.

Look up Kevin Trudeau. Will fix everything.

Good luck OP, hope you achieve your goals. ;)

No, your fat is making you fat

Kill yourself and then you won't have to eat anything!

Really? Cause I've been treated for hypothyroidism for many years and never has anyone mentioned anything about either of those... though my brother-in-law who has similar problems once tried to say something about not eating shrimp.... I think he just doesn't like shrimp, lol

Seems to make sense, vegetables make me gag.
