I don't understand why "if he has to ask for it", then she's a terrible gf. Just because he asks for it doesn't signify that they don't have a healthy sex life. I also don't see how if she DOESN'T normally give ********, then she's a terrible gf. A lot of you are just jumping to conclusions about how their relationship works. My friend asked her boyfriend what he wanted on his birthday, and he told her "Just a nice dinner with friends, and I'd like to chill with you." He's my best friend, and he wouldn't lie to me. I asked him if that was really what he meant, and he said it was, because he knew my friend wasn't comfortable with sexual favours yet - it didn't matter that it was his birthday, because "it's not like because its my birthday that I can completely ignore her needs/insecurities."

By the way, movies =/= *******. Additionally, I fully second the previous comment.

#221 - I never meant to say that him asking for it makes her a horrible gf or that her not doing it on a regular basis makes her a terrible gf. I was just saying that if you are in a sexual relationship, birthdays tend to be times when sex is generally expected.
