Maybe your girlfriend doesn't like the submissive role. If a partner told me a line like that I'd probably respond in kind (or curl my lip/roll my eyes/etc depending on the person) to deflect because sub!kink is a massive turn off for me. Maybe she'd rather leather up and tell you that YOU have been a bad boy. Try asking her what she's into before you assume anything in bed...that's always a good rule.
