Today, I was shopping for my little sister's birthday. She loves manga. I've never read manga, so I bought a couple of novels from the "popular" shelf. Turns out if they have white covers it means they are "adult" books. I bought my sister a "lolicon" manga - filled with prebuscent naked girls. FML

Today, my little sister got into my anime DVDs, probably thinking they were cartoons. She watched High School DXD, which isn't the best anime for a 6-year-old. Now she wants to be the Breast Dragon Emperor for Halloween and Dad is threatening to set fire to my entire collection. FML

Today, my brother's girlfriend came over to visit and we got to talking about books. Thinking she'd be interested, I suggested a few. She responded that she "only reads good literature." The only books I've ever seen her read are Fifty Shades of Gray and the Twilight saga. FML

Today, I went to the store with my girlfriend. She needed to use the bathroom so I started looking at the books. It wasn't until the manager shot me a weird look that I realized I'd wandered down too far and was looking at bridal magazines, holding tampons, dog treats, and hair spray. FML

Everyone's gotta see naked girls sometime. But you could've [should've] asked a sales person if you've never bought Manga before. Or at least found one age appropriate. Sure you didn't get the color code, but you could always ask. Or flip through it. Or the old "ask her what her favorite is". At least you know she read it? I get books all the time when people are like, "Oh, you like fiction right? Here's these books about wizard-wannabes." I never read them.

You idiot, you should have looked at it before you bought it for her. YDI for not realizing that the white cover meant it was naughty. I've read manga so I know that sometimes you can buy a series that starts out perfectly innocent and not even realize that it's going to end up a hentai or yaoi or something. But for god's sake, you have absolutely no excuse, even with no knowledge of manga, because THE COVER WAS WHITE! If you choose to buy her manga again in the future, get the series Chibi Vampire or +Anima. Both are very good, cute series that are appropriate for young readers.

All kids are going to have sex someday what is the big deal? Kids are having sex younger and younger, she probably already has seen naked people...people are too hung up on sexual things. I'm laughing, but I'm sorry! There are so many genres and subgenres of manga that you have to be careful what you buy. You could end up with yaoi, yuri, lolicon, shotacon, ecchi, hentai, or any number of other things. You don't want ther mind to warp. :) (This is coming from a teenage girl who is addicted to manga and has a highly warped mind.)

i think it's really sick that adult males read thease about young girls and get turned on. Thats so wrong and gross.
