Defense!

Today, I came home from work to find that my neighbor's trash bins were still on the curb. While returning the bins to her backyard, her kid ran out and shot me with a paintball gun. Multiple times. He thought I was a burglar and ruined my new suit. FML

While I don't really know the whole story, but I do know that my neighbors are really nice and just the type of people that would put our trashcans or whatever back in our driveway if they blew away or we left them out, and we'd do the same for them, so... fyl.

People who are saying he deserves it, do you not have a social life or are you at least friends with your neighbors? My neighbors always bring our bins up to our house if there out on the curb all day as we're either at school or work. He was simply being a nice , helpful neighbor! And the kid thought differently... And really, people saying they'd be pissed if someone touched their trash cans? really, trash cans?

In our community, if you leave your trashcan out for too long, you can be fined. he was doing a neighborly duty. to everyone who said YDI: FYL for being so dumb

It depends where you live. Some people are saying YDI because they wouldn't want their neighbours touching their stuff. Where I live, people put their neighbours' bins on their porch all the time, as a nice gesture. Since you were so willing to do it, I assume it's just something that's done in your community. Depending on the price of the suit, I would talk to your neighbours - they might pay for it to get dry cleaned (most paint washes out).

touching trash cans = no problem Bringing them to the front of the house= no problem bringing them to THE BACKYARD = PROBLEM! I'm all for being neighbourly, but it's a little strange to bring them to the back yard... bring them to the front of the house, to the door, sure... but the backyard is off limits! I'm cool for friendly neighbour.... but the back yard ain't for ya,

#18 excellent point. he said "her" kids. he obviously knew her well enough to try and do something nice for her and was barraged by paintballs in the act, thus fyl #5,#24 since I can't tell from your picture if you're male or female I don't really know if I should call you a dumb ass or a dumb bitch.. someone should shoot you for being so ugly -- not to mention ignorant. fyl it sucks when you get f-ed for trying to do something nice
