Today, I thought I'd wear my snow boots so I wouldn't slip on the ice at work. I crashed my car because I can't feel the pedals with my boots on. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I stepped out of my car and slipped on a fresh coating of ice on the ground. I tried to catch myself by grabbing the car on my way down, but unfortunately, I was trying to grab with the hand that was holding my car keys. I key-scratched my own car. FML
Today, I walked to the end of my driveway to pick up the newspaper. I read the front page that was talking about people who have been getting hurt from slipping on ice. Laughing about that thought and walking up my driveway, I slipped. FML
Steady as she goes
Today, I tried to walk on the sidewalk. Actually, it was so slippery that I had to shimmy across it. Then I shimmied too quickly and fell down. Now everything hurts. Maybe next time I should bring a sled. FML
Today, I went on a hike. It had snowed the night before so I wore warm clothes. They didn’t help when I slipped and broke my leg. FML
Today, I had a bad feeling about walking to work because of the weather. Instead, I drove. My car slid on the ice and I created a four-car pile up. All three of the other people involved have decided to sue me. I should've walked. FML
Today, I lost control of my car on a patch of ice and slid off the road, messing up my car. I was working on a news story about bad road conditions. FML
Today, I slid on ice and hit another car while driving to work. My car was totalled, and my leg hurt, while the other car had very little damage. Not two minutes later, the salt truck drove by, spraying the road. FML
Today, it was so cold that I had to put slippers over my slippers. FML
Today, I made the long drive to work, got out of the car, and realised that I'd forgotten to put shoes on before I left the house. FML
These boots were made for walking
Today, I laced up my fabulous new boots and walked outside to find my hot neighbor, with whom I carpool every morning. I struck a pose, feeling quite confident. Upon taking my first step down the stairs, I fell forward. I woke up an hour later with 7 stitches in my head. FML

-.- wow op is dumb. I'd bet they'd drive a car with stilettos on. always leave extra shoes in the car especially if the ones you wear leave you "unable to feel the brakes"

It's actually "pedals." So, yeah.....lol

PEDALS.

And it's also "there", not "their". The stupidest thing about this comment is actually looking at the pedals to drive. How retarded.

I always hate giving a YDI to a fellow Canadian but YDI, have you never thought to bring the boots but wear shoes when you drive.

But please tell us... Did YOU slip on any ice? Don't leave us hanging.

The emphasis is all wrong. If there's going to be emphasis here it should be on "did" not on "you"

You totally deserve that, you should have realised at first that you couldn't feel the pedals. The crash is your lesson !

Wow, I've driven with my snow boots on multiple times and could tell how fast I was going. It's not like you couldn't read the speedometer. I could also feel the pedals. YDI for being an idiot.

You deserve it for not realizing it could be dangerous to drive with those boots. YDI for being careless and idiot.

what i don't understand is how do you not feel your feet? the reason i would say YDI is because if you can't feel your feet, the boots are too small and cutting off the circulation in your feet, and are now numb. and so YDI because you bought and wore too small shoes. i've driven in all sorts of shoes, including boots, and never "couldn't feel my feet"

#10 he couldn't "feel the pedals". his feet were fine... blood was circulating!!! learn to read!! OP: next time wear regular shoes while driving and put on the boots before getting out of the car. i do that with heels :) so Problem solved!
