Today, I brought my 6-year-old to the mall to sit on Santa's lap. She told him what she wanted and smiled for the picture. When the lady told her that her turn was over, she began throwing a fit, pulling off Santa's beard in the process. This caused all the kids in line to begin sobbing. FML

I would be sobbing too if a kid had enough strength to rip every one of Santa's hairs out of their follicles. Imagine the pain! . . .That IS what happened, right?

I never understood the draw of taking your young children to sit on a stranger's lap. In what other situation would this be ok?

That's terrible for the kids in line. Just say its on of santas helpers? Good luck haha

But they've already told them that it's Santa. It's a little late to change the story.

I told my sisters that Santa has a lot of helpers to visit the children since he can't be everywhere at once. It worked extremely well.

Damn, kids pulling out beards? The hell are they putting in the water these days?

It's whatever that face-eater guy was on. That stuff's potent!

You've got some major damage control to do. Not only for the kids but the parents too.

Yes, listen to the Christmas tree.

You could try explaining to the kids that it wasn't the real Santa as he's busy preparing to deliver all the presents?

That's what I tell my daughter. All the Santa's and Easter Bunnies in the shopping centres are just "helpers" because the real ones are far too busy organizing presents/eggs.

They aren't lies Noor! SANTA IS REAL!!!

I think Noor was talking about the "lies" surrounding Santa's beard. I mean, think about it: a man St. Nick's age would NEVER have a beard as long and flowing as that. He would be a balding, beardless golden oldie with type 2 diabetes! It's only logical.

The Easter bunny, duh. "Is that a carrot in your pants or are you just happy to see me?" On second thought, maybe not.

Neverland Ranch, back in the day. On second thoughts, I concur with MITM

Are you telling me santa's not real???? Awww haw hawww sniff sniff

This is one of those "Santa can't be everywhere at once, so he has helpers who take your Christmas list back to him" moments. Easy damage control. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

It's also one of those moments the OP could choose to stop to the kid. I doubt that's going to happen though.

Well, the beard was already pulled down.. Not much to stop after that haha. But yea, there'd be a nice little swat on the rear end waiting for my child. That's not cool.

If you got it on video, that's gonna be great to show to her boyfriends in the future.
