Your teacher is smart.
Like you people haven't said something stupid before.
I've said lots of stupid things. In fact, I would say approximately 96.31% of everything I say is ridiculous and nonsensical. However, that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a funny story told on a site devoted to humor, or lightly tease someone about it.
I'm living proof that I screw up and said stupid stuff before. My older siblings always told me boogers were old and dead brain matter that our body discards through our nostrils as we age. I found out my life was a lie in Human Anatomy when I asked if boogers were brain matter. Super embarrassing. My teacher laughed for almost 5 minutes and my whole class never took me seriously again. I'm proud to say I know better now.
Pretty sure everyone has said something stupid at least once in their lifetime. Its been more than once for me, but I still appreciate a good laugh and I will make jokes about it, but am I meaning anything by it? Nah, not intentionally. However, there's some pretty great moments like this FML where its honestly a face palming moment. Think of it as them joining the crowd and not being alone with saying stupid crap. Everyone has. Whoever said "There is no such thing as a stupid question" really needs to be hit, because there are some stupid questions I've heard being asked.
Alright, point taken.
Haven't we all had dunce moments? Your teacher's a prick if that was all it took. FYL, OP
If you have to legitimately ask that question instead of being able to think it over yourself then you do not belong in an honours class.
You should fight that. If that's legitimately the only reason your teacher rejected you for the Honors class, file a complaint with your school's administration. Either your teacher has better reasons or is biased against you. Either will come out at a school board hearing. Until then, think before you speak.
why are people thumbing this down? we've all said things we haven't thoroughly thought through and it shouldn't be the sole reason OP doesn't get put in an honors class.
I think some people can't make their own decisions, and they see that some other people thumb it down so they do.
Im in an ap bio class and ive heard stupider questions. Your teacher sounds like a dick.
You've heard stupider, huh?
She said ap bio not ap English..(sad face)
"Stupider" is a word.
Frankly, you're lucky she didn't recommend you to repeat a grade.
That is a dumb question.....
I think the issue is the wording of the question. To be fair, many lotions and creams are fortified with vitamin E, so it isn't completely unreasonable to question whether spray tans may contain vitamin D, which would be similar to sunlight. I say OP make it a life mission be the first to discover the method of infusing spray tans with vitamin D and become a millionaire. The best revenge is success.
It is like asking if green food colorant makes your cake photosynthetic ...
so I should probably take my moldy cake away from the window and stop watering it.....

Yes, they do. The orange color comes from smashed carrots, and your skin absorbs the nutrients. Come on now. That's common knowledge.
You kinda had that coming, man.
