Yeah, Uninstall the app at a minimum. Better yet, wipe the phone and start it from scratch (in case she has a keylogger installed) and use a much stronger password. How you handle the discussion with her is a hard topic that you need to have addressed. Many of my brothers and I cut ties with our mother for stuff like this.

In addition to what Thaylok already said, make sure you take your other electronics in to be checked and doublecheck your car (if you have one) and any and all coats and bags you may have had in her house at some point. Airtags are pretty small and have a battery life of up to a year, and considering she put a tracker on your cellphone without your knowledge or consent I wouldn’t put it past her to stick an airtag in the lining of your coat or something.

Wipe your phone ASAP and go no contact with mommie dearest. Check all your devices as well. If you can afford it, replace all the electronic devices with brand new and set up passwords mommie dearest won’t be able to figure out

Yeah, I never comment here, but this is too good. If it's an android, get youself an emulator and a GPS faker. Try to install it there and go absolutely bonkers with wild locations. South Pole? Afghanistan? Pitcairn Islands? Get creative. Go as long as you can :)

oh I'm pretty sure that's illegal without your consent considering it's your phone and you might want to Google a cheap frequency scanner and check your car and house and other items for other GPS tags the scanner will help you locate them quickly. also you should probably file a police report and start a paper trail in case your Mom starts to frequently call the police for wellness checks or tries some other BS.
