Today, while enjoying breakfast, my teeth took a chunk out of my cheek. This happens regularly, even when I'm talking. Both my doctor and dentist have no idea why, and I'm in utter agony. FML

I used to have an issue like this too. I found out it was because I tend to push my cheeks in when I chew food, causing me to bite my cheeks a lot. I had to train myself to chew without pushing my cheeks inward and I haven't bit myself once since. Also once you bite yourself once you tend to continue doing it because your cheeks are swollen.

Chew but don't talk. Talk but don't take a bit. Choices choices.

Get your act together NHS. In the meantime, chew slower OP. Those scrambled eggs are not going anywhere.

That happens to me too! Hurts like a bitch and ******* random. I think its because i get distracted while chewing.

Try to instead of sucking while chewing, blow up your cheeks (like your going to blow a candle) while chewing. Its a habit I've taught myself to make less chewing noises while eating. If you don't blow up too much, no one will notice.

This happens to me as well all the time but at least I know why, even though it doesn't stop it from happening as often as it does lol >.< This will probably sound weird, but my tongue is slightly too large for the size of my mouth, so when I eat, I tend to basically tighten in my tongue muscle so it's avoiding being bitten, which then in turn draws my face muscles in so I bite my inner cheek instead. I actually prefer this over biting my tongue - that f'ing hurts! Maybe you have the same issue :P

I am a dentist that practices in Honolulu. I have many patients that bite their cheek on a regular basis. Sometimes the problem is malocclusion and could be corrected with braces. Otherwise, you can train yourself not to bite your cheek by being aware of how you chew your food.

Maybe your teeth are too sharp, file them down. Haha. Or maybe wear a mouth guard all day. May interfere with your speech but hey, no pain ;D

hate to be the one to break the bad news, but, youve got some fat cheeks OP...
