Today, we spread my uncle's ashes at my grandparents' house. We were on a hill overlooking a sunset. It was a beautiful ceremony… until the winds changed direction. Our whole family wound up covered in my Uncle. He's still stuck in my hair. FML

Wow, looks like your uncle has seperation anxiety. You should feel blessed, it was a gesture of love on his part. Unless he's one of those annoying uncles in which case he came onto you as a prank.

haha thats exactly what i was thinking. he will always be with you

OMG! What's with all these dead people ashes FML's.. Creepy!

You should have put them in a shallow hole, that's what they do when people are put in gardens of rememberance. They don't blow everywhere that way.

lol I noticed there were lots of ashes FMLs lately too :O man, isn't spreading ashes illegal? or is it just here in Canada?

#23, actually when I was burning my father and grandfather (years apart) they burned them right after the funeral, they empty the casket and what not. I highly doubt they'd burn people together, that's just disrespectful. They even offered to let me watch, I was in the room but I made them close the door to the oven.

why would you spread the ash around the house any way?

"And so, Theodore Donald Karabotsos.. in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been..."

i think its best to go the hunter s thomason way. in my dad's family they spread ashes at a certain bay. when they were spreading the ashes of my grandpa and uncle, they miscalculated and the tide started coming back in bringing my uncle and grandpa with it.
