No way, uh-uh, no, not doing it

Today, I asked my son to show his grandma how to do some basic stuff on the computer. He said no way, he knows how long it takes old people to grasp computers. I jokingly threatened to ground him for 6 months unless he did it. He took the 6 months without hesitating. FML

Why don't you do it? What your kid does on the computer is probably nothing that grandma would want. She's not into **** and first-person shooters, is she?

As someone who would rather spend 6 months in jail than go back to my first full-time job (phone-based tech support for idiots trying to set up their shitty DSL) I see exactly where he’s coming from. You raised a son who knows what things are worth; and for that, I applaud you. That said, YDI for walking into that one.

during the course of his grounding add in that he still has to teach his grandma the computer stuff 🤣

Good luck with that. I recall a friend's son who said he'd rather go to boot camp.

He just performed a genuine cost-benefit analysis. Well done.
