That's really unfortunate. I will say, though, that my mom was my best friend up until she died. My other best friend lives in a different country, he and I have never met in person! I suggest, then, that you go online and find some people who share your interests. You'll be surprised how many people are just like you :)

I don't see how using your mom is a bad thing; that's awesome. As for the second, just try to be more social, and I'm sure you'll make friends in no time.

Having a mom friend isn't that bad there's not a lot you can surprise her with I'm sure too : ) can't find a lot of real friends anymore keep the ones you have even if it's your mom xD

That's a stupid task to give to you. But having a good relationship with your mother is just a nice thing :)
