Today, my younger brother called me saying he's getting married. Now, I have to attend my ex's wedding. I'm the best man. FML

ydi for letting your brother steal your ex-girlfriend. Just grow a pair and walk him down the aisle . it's not that hard.

Screw that mess. I'd say I wasn't interested in being best man. If he would dare put you in such an awkward, weird position...well he doesn't respect. And I don't know the situation...but your brother and your ex? Hell no we won't go!

Only in the south... at least you might get to meet Jerry Springer now though.

When you say the toast, just say it feels good to give your used toys to the needy:)

Clearly, your ex doesn't think you are the best man!

Just move on! Guys these daaays -_- lol

I'm going to try and be the voice of reason here...AGAIN. Everyone seems so dialed in to the fact that the brother is marrying the ex-girlfriend. True, but OP broke up with her, and the brother obviously loves her enough to marry her, and he loves his brother enough to ask him to be his best man. Sure it isn't easy or fair, but who ever said life is easy and fair? He should NOT ruin the wedding or act like a jackass. Girlfriends and even spouses may come and go, but family is forever. This guy needs to swallow his pride and be there for his brother on what is supposed to be the happiest day of his life.

Except it doesn't say if the OP broke up with the ex or if she broke up with him. We also don't know the relationship between the brother and the ex. For all you know, they could have been together a week. You're right though, OP shouldn't ruin the wedding. But he doesn't have to go and he should definitely tell his brother how he feels.

Your brother is your ex? *high pitched* aaaaaawkwaaaaaaaaard
