Today, my teenage son called me at work and started screaming abuse at me. He told me how he never wants to see me again and hopes I die a gruesome death. Why does he feel this way? I beat his high score on Bejewelled 2. FML

Today, I got an angry call from my 7-year-old son's school. It turned out that while doing a "what I want to be when I'm older" assignment, he wrote that he wants to be an internet troll so he can make people mad and make them kill themselves. FML

Today, my son is going through a rebellious phase. He's taken to wearing leather and chains, listening to death metal music all day in his room alone, and screaming at me in public places. He was fired from his part-time job for swearing at customers. My son is 29 years old. FML

Today, my son screamed at me to fuck off. Apparently, because he only gets one day off a week, he’s sick of me saving up all my projects and forcing him to help me on that one day. He’s now barricaded himself in his room with a big DO IT YOURSELF on the door. FML

Today, I grounded my son after finding out that he's been bullying other kids at school. He got mad and screamed at me, calling me a "bastard". Instead of defending me, my wife got pissed and accused me of having taught our son to swear like that. I can never win. FML

Duh, ground him for disrespecting you and take away his gaming-rights, since he obviously has his priorities out of order. Don't take it personally, teenagers are like that, but you should definately discipline him to let him know taht sort of behaviour isn't called for. You obviously let him get away with too much if he feels it's okay to abuse you just because you beat his score. When I was yuonger I used to throw tantrums when dad grounded me from the computer. But I got over it, learned that it wasn't that big of a deal, became a better person. Anyway, it's called parenting.

hear me out, im good friends with both my parents, but they are smart enough to kno bein a parent is about bein a parent not just bein "buddy buddy". Im 18 and i graduated last year and if i did this to either of my parents, lets say tomorrow, i would be seein them 10 minutes later. and thats because it would take 5 min to get home and then another 5 to stretch before they kicked my ass thru a wall. haha. your kid needs some classic parenting. its for his own good. **** that your grounded without phone. you should throw an asswhooping down and see how much he wants to disrespect you then. dont put up with that. And it really is for his own good

you need to beat him in the face with your computer, with the screen opened to your high score on bejeweled. **** disrespecting kids, i'm only 20 but I was raised way better then that and my future kids will be too. No child of mine will ever say something like that to me for such a stupid reason, and OP if you dont put a stop to this kind of behavior, you deserve all the things he says to you and more.
