This reminds me of that commercial. Girl hears the sound of rain. She asks her phone "Is that rain?" Her phone tells her that is in fact raining. Girl then looks out nearby window with amazement that her phone told her that it was raining.

Actually, I do this sometimes too. Looking outside can be deceiving. A seemingly nice day can get cloudy and rainy in a matter of minutes; and there's nothing like hauling around a rain coat and umbrella you never remotely end up needing because the clouds cleared moments after you left the house.
