Today, my mom told me that Walmart had called and I had an interview at 9:30. I went to Walmart. They told me they didn't have any interviews set up. I went back home and listened to the voice-mail on her cellphone. It was the Subway in Walmart. I've been looking for a job for 3 months. FML

Today, I tried to get a job at Walmart. My mom was the hiring manager. She turned me down due to lack of work experience. FML

Today, I got a phone call for a interview at Target at 4:30 pm. I got super excited, so I got dressed up and headed over there. I told the manager that I was there for my interview. He didn't know what I was talking about. My friends had prank called me. FML
Today, I was at a job interview. The interviewer spoke to me for a few minutes, then said she would be right back, and left. I was left alone in a room for an hour and a half believing that it was a patience test. They closed the store for the day, leaving me in the interview room. FML

You should always double check those types of things instead of taking (even your mom's!) word for it!!

Why wouldn't you go and check subway while you were there, knowing that you had applied for it at some point! Maybe you have no job because you have no common sense!!

YDI because you should have listened to the message yourself, even if it is on your mom's phone. You need all pertinent information, like the name of the person you'll be speaking to. Also, it's customary that places will call to offer you an interview time, not demand one. You need to call back and confirm.
