Today, I tried to get a job at Walmart. My mom was the hiring manager. She turned me down due to lack of work experience. FML

Exactly! I got a great career without experience. If you can't even get a Walmart job without experience that's insane.

My first job was at Walmart. I was 16-17 with absolutely no experience. This person’s mom was full of it.

Depends on what job he applied to. Even at Walmart they must have jobs where you cannot start right away.

You do not want to work in the same job your parents do especially if they are your boss. You will get a lot of hate from co workers. Also, if you mess up at work it will go back to your parent at some point along the line.
