tell the organizer of the Thanksgiving gathering, (that one is usually very talkative) and get there late, that way she will have had time to tell everyone to avoid the topic ;) don't worry OP, sorry for your loss, but better it happened before you got married..if he doesn't appreciate you, he doesn't deserve you..
