ok, your boyfriend is an asshole. HOWEVER, this is a definite YDI. gutters aren't strong enough to hold a person. you should have known that. even if you didn't know that immediately, you should have known from the unending number of Christmas movies where daddy goes up on the ladder to put up the lights, the ladder falls, daddy holds onto the gutter then falls due to the gutten not holding the weight.

A. Ok, there's two scenarios, either you're thin and he was trying to make it light so you wouldn't be embarrassed. OR B. You are a little heavier and he really meant that. If it was A. I wouldn't be upset but happy. But if it were B. I'd drop the a**hole

First of all, you're an idiot for sitting on the gutter! It would break with a thin person. Secondly, your boyfriend has a good sense of humour and you could learn to take a joke. There's also the possibility that yeah, maybe you should lose some weight.

everyone who called the OP fat are major tools. a little 70 pound kid could bust a gutter! do you people have diamond gutters or something unbreakable? why dont you all go sit on your gutters if you don't think you can break them? :)

I'm sure he was just trying to lighten up the mood. However if I needed to loose weight, I would expect my boyfriend to tell me. So instead of getting offended get on that bike :P

if you're scared of heights, why climb up to the roof in the first place?
