Today, my boyfriend grabbed my love handles. It tickled, so I giggled and squirmed out of his grip. He looked at me quizzically and said, "I'm surprised you still have feeling there with all that fat." FML

Maybe I am reading this differently but I don't see that the bf was being mean. Just because someone says something that hurts your feelings, it doesn't make them a jerk. It wasn't a polite thing to say, granted, but it sounds like he blurted it out in honest confusion. There's not even an indication that he doesn't like her body. OP, if you are that sensitive about your "love handles" then lose some weight. Don't hold your problems against him.

I read it as though he said it kinda jokingly as they were being affectionate. He obviously likes to touch her body, they were being close, she giggled, they were having a good time. She probably put it on FML bc of the sheer silliness/ stupidity of his comment.

What, am I the only one who thinks that the girl isn't fat? I think that your boyfriend doesn't think you are fat, either. Take this as a compliment for having big boobs. Boobs are made of 'fat'.
