He might not even know that his mom dumped him. Perhaps you should actually talk with him to make sure. If its true then you're better off.
Your better off without a 'Man' who's so whipped by his mother that he'll dump you for her!! :D
Incredibly fabulous control freak!
His mother did not force him to do anything. He chose to let her control his life. My mom tried to make me break up with my boyfriend too, just because she didn't like him. I stuck it out and stayed with him, and now she not only approves of him, but she's helping us plan our wedding. At that age, this guy's mother has no right to tell him how to live his life. If he's letting her, he's not worth it. Sorry, OP. I'm sure you'll find a worthwhile guy when the time is right.
This is a blessing. Any 23-year-old who is forced by his mother to do something like this is clearly lacking spine, balls and anything else that makes a man a man. You wouldn't want to be stuck with a boy, and he is a boy, so be thankful it ended now and things didn't get serious or you'd be stuck with both of them on one very miserable honeymoon.
Sounds like your clear from the zero, now find you a hero

It's for the best. Now you can find a man with a pair.
No way, that's awful! And at 23 he shouldn't be forced into things by his mother... FYL
