Perhaps this is your European side? Sorry, OP, I hope you're feeling better now and this is no actual "today" fml
Funny, I didn't realize hospital grade fevers were meant to be a 21st birthday tradition. Damn it, I missed out!
They're talking about hangovers.
That's the joke
I know she's talking about a hangover, but OP is running a fever.
All jokes aside, I'm pretty sure if you have a temperature of 104, you need to go to the hospital.
definitely should. anything above 39.5 c (103 f) is quite serious
Just for future reference water makes you vomit more. You have to wait a few hours before you eat or drink anything after vomiting.
I haven't heard of this before, but I would try drinking Gatorade or Pedialyte if possible, those are better options than water when vomiting & might stay down a little better. Feel better OP!
I don't really understand why this is considered an FML
Fever on birthday. What's not an FML about it?
I think the lack of maternal sympathy he/she is getting is part of the F my L equation.
The only thing I could think of is ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Come to Europe. We have a lower drinking age, you can feel 21 when you are 18.
At 104 you're supposed to go to the hospital
in australia we celebrate both...just pretend your an aussie for a day!

If you lived in Australia it's perfectly appropriate. I was wrecked the morning of my 18th from drinking and shenanigans the night before.
