Today, in the middle of the night, my fiancé started yelling gibberish in his sleep. When I tried to wake him, he punched me square in the face. FML

yeah i know its a bit extreme being punched square in the face but seriously never wake a sleeping man. If he didnt punch you in the face he would be pissed at you for a while. If he starts talking crap again move to another room or sleep on the couch

I don't think the OP necessarily deserved it for trying to wake her fiancé if she was alarmed by what was going on, but at the same time, it's not like he really had any control over what he was doing. People can do violent things in their sleep and/or when you try to wake them up (especially if they have known sleep issues). I'm sure he feels bad for it. If he doesn't, well, that's another story.
