Today, I woke up to an email confirming my membership to a dating site. Turns out my mother is as annoyed by my loveless life as I am. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Thanks but no thanks
Today, I called my mom to see how she was doing. She quickly hijacked the conversation and said that she's signed me up for a dating site, because she feels bad that I can't find a decent man. I've been dating my boyfriend for seven months, and she's seen me with him multiple times. FML
Today, I signed up for a dating site and used a photo of my mother and me at a wedding. Everyone stops responding when they find out they're talking to me and not her. FML
Today, I found my dad on a dating website looking for younger girls. My mother and father are "happily" married, well according to her Facebook profile. FML
Tinder surprise
Today, a woman turned up uninvited at my house, ready for our first date. After some embarrassed investigating, it turns out my mother signed me up to Tinder and arranged a date, all without telling me, because she refuses to believe I prefer solitude over dating. FML
A step too far
Today, my mother keeps nagging me to find a wife, settle down, and have kids, even though I have zero interest in any of those things. She refuses to understand that I’m perfectly content being completely on my own. She even signed me up to Tinder without my knowledge. FML
Today, I asked my mom about signing up for an online dating site. She took one look at me and said, "Why get rejected online when you can just go outside for the same?" FML
Today, I had a first date with a guy I met online. And his mom. FML
Cheers
Today, my mom sent me a picture of a blank piece of paper, saying it was a drawing of all the people who wanted to date me. FML
Today, I overheard my mother Skyping with her new "boyfriend" about the $1,000 she just sent him. She barely knew what internet dating was three weeks ago. FML
Today, I was at dinner with my boyfriend and his family. We were talking about relationships, and I commented on how online dating was the dumbest thing ever. His mom and step-dad went on to tell me how they had met through an online dating service. FML

1 in 5 relationships start online these days. Unfortunately, 95% of these "relationships" can legally be called stalkings. Have fun!

Baustigt, I understand what you mean. Now be quiet and get back under my bed. No one gave you permission to come out.

I guess the Oedipus Complex thing wasn't working out for her. How does it feel to be put in the Friend Zone by your own mom? How many lies did she put in your profile? Hint: If you say, "I am not a looser," you are, indeed, a loser.

Better to be friend-zoned by your mom, then to have her hit on you. Unless your moms hot...

Look at the bright side - she wants you to be happy. And if she paid for it, you might as well give it a go. Of course, if you do meet someone and fall madly in love, she'll always remind you that she made it happen :)

I've noticed this too. Why does everyone have to have shit spelled out to them lately?

What's not to get? OP is single. OP's mom wants them to be in a relationship. Mom signed OP up for a dating website, using OP's email address; subsequently OP received an email confirming membership on said dating website.
