Today, I went to my Homecoming dance. I had a great time until some fat girl kept trying to dance with my date, even though he politely asked her to stop. I decided to intervene. I found myself pinned to the floor by a fat girl crushing on my date, who was cheering her on as she tackled me. FML

Did someone have to tempt her off you with a McDonalds happy meal?

How did you decide to "intervene"? Probably not a good idea to start shit with people who are double your size . . .

The wording of it got to me, too. The other girl probably wasn't even remotely overweight. What I honestly read was that one of the popular kids who thinks way higher of herself than she should decided to pick a fight with someone who was unpopular because they were talking to her date. How many girls in a size 8 were called fat asses by the bitchy popular kids in my high school? Too many. And most of those girls could have wiped the floor with anyone who got in their face, like the OP obviously did to the "fat chick". YDI for thinking you're better than someone due to appearance. Remember hun, looks are gonna fade no matter how much makeup and wrinkle cream you use. And plastic surgery will only end up making you look like a monster.

How is her being fat even relevant? Conceited ***** much?

Why would you have to bring up the fact that she is fat? That's just rude.

i completely agree with 78 first of all why don't you take a view from that girl's perspective i'm sure she thought of homecoming as a special night and maybe she had a crush on your date & so she wanted to make the night even more special by just one dance you didn't have to be such a bitch and embarrass her so kudos to her for kicking your ass & your boyfriend sounds awesome for cheering her on hahaha :D i love that btw, #77, most of the people feeling sorry for this chick and this chick herself, are all probably skinny insecure girls that don't have pretty faces. :) p.s. that "fat girl" probably isnt that fat and is probably still prettier than you

I seriously hope you're trolling and not serious. Homecoming was likely a special night for OP, too. The other girl happens to be overweight, so that entitles her to be rude and inconsiderate? Who cares if the other girl had a crush? The guy didn't ask her, he asked OP. And it sounds like OP wasn't embarrassing the girl. If anything, the girl embarrassed herself AND OP for making a scene. Maybe OP could have picked something better than "fat," but that doesn't excuse what the girl did. It was bratty and immature; the fact that you're defending her makes me think that you must not be very mature yourself.

I actually am leaning towards feeling bad for the other girl, but honestly either one of you could be right. We'd need a more detailed description of the incident for a neutral witness. Maybe the OP is a bitchy girl who picks on the other girl for no reason all the time, or maybe the other girl was just completely out of line, you know?

Really? Take it from the girls perspective? OP- "Girl is trying to steal my date, even though he politely declined. I should get her to stop." Other girl- "Fifty nos and a yes means yes." I mean, seriously, if a guy is not interested in you, and constantly declines, he's not interested. Duh. So getting pissed off at the girl who he is dating is just being a jealous bitch. The OP pointed out that the girl was fat because if we weren't reminded that she was fat, we probably would say "You scrawny bitch, so what a girl sat on you? Like 130 lbs?" Seriously, if the girl was 200+ pounds, it would HURT to be crushed. Not just some girl tackling you, but you're being forcibly crushed. You're being seriously immature for calling her a bitch because she was pointing out details which only had made it worse for her. Granted, the OP could be a bit of a bitch, but I doubt that she's being a bitch because her date said SEVERAL times that he was uninterested. She gave her date a chance to speak, and once she had decided enough was enough, she took action. And your poor use of the English language confirms that you are quite immaturely-minded. Go to college and have 15-page papers due weekly, and a 50-page final due on top of calculus 3, linear algebra, differential equations, and physics finals to study for, I promise proper use of the English language will very shortly follow instinctively.

I'm have my first homecoming in about 2 weeks luckily, I'm going with a few friends so this isn't likely going to happen to me... that is unless I suddenly out of nowhere get a date... But not likely...
