Today, I went to buy some beer using my fake ID, when the cute cashier and I started flirting. When he asked me how old I was, I said without thinking, "Nineteen." FML

If you are that dumb, you don't need beer

I guess next time you'll try using it on an ugly cashier. YDI

YDI for simply having a fake ID, idiot. You do realize its a felony to carry a fake ID and you could have gotten the cashier fired. This is another fine example of people being stupid.

It's actually called a novelty id. And you can't get arrested or in trouble for carrying it.

If that is your child in your picture, I imagine you have enough experience in underage drinking to be a reliable source. So I believe you, criminal.

But it is illegal to USE it fraudulently

67- go **** yourself for that comment.

Okay then...well, good thing you didn't get the beer. The loss of braincells might kill you.

A date with a hottie is worth a little beer.

It's official OP and I (or you know, just me) should move to Canada, get the alcohol, and move back to the US to party!

Have you never heard of customs? You can't even be drunk when you get back from Canada. You could maybe get away with it 30 years ago, but not today.

230- you can actually be drunk going through customs. I live on a border town, please do not argue against me.

You should've said "19... Plus 2! I'm a mathematician by the way ;)" might lose points for being a matmatician, but at least it'll explain the adding.

45, Thumb up for clever. But please try to spell your profession correctly.

I don't see why he asked when it shows your date of birth on IDs.. I think he knew there was no way you weren't underage, but hey, I think you should be able to buy alcohol after you turn 18.

And I think we should sterilize those with an IQ under 110. But we can't all have our way.

That's assuming she had already shown him the fake. Where I live, there have been multiple occasions where a cashier has just asked me how old I am instead of asking for my driver's license. Probably suspecting you'll slip up if you are underage, like in OP's case.

I fear for the future generations...

He was obviously tricking you because if he really wanted to know how old you were, he would've just checked the ID.

Yeah, because the cashier was totally into you. He wasn't fake flirting with you to get you to reveal your real age at all...
