Today, I was working a kid's birthday party dressed as a clown. The child's mother made me change because he was scared of clowns. The only thing I had in my car was a princess costume that was owned by a girl co-worker. So for 4 hours I had to entertain in a tight pink dress. I'm a guy. FML

I find it odd that the mother didn't verify what you would come as if she knew her kid hated clowns. Usually the costume of the entertainer is discussed beforehand.

hey money is money! There is not much of a difference between a clown and a princess regardless of gender at your age. ;-)

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the prettiest princess of them all? - YOU! :D

Why did she hire a clown if her kid is afraid of clowns

You got paid. However, I would take this as a learning experience and keep another costume, change of clothes, or something in the car for emergencies like this.

You know you looked fabulous in that dress!!! And I bet you had a little fun workin' it!! It's all good if you didn't need spanx.

You're an entertainer... isn't this what you do?

Entertain? Yes. But probably not in a dress, typically... I think he should just look at it as a fun trip to the past. I mean, back in Shakespeare's time all the actors were male, so about half of them had to go through the same thing as OP. just imagine, OP, if you had to wear a dress every day! :P

Years from now, this kid will look at his birthday photos and wonder just what went down that day.
