Today, I was working a kid's birthday party dressed as a clown. The child's mother made me change because he was scared of clowns. The only thing I had in my car was a princess costume that was owned by a girl co-worker. So for 4 hours I had to entertain in a tight pink dress. I'm a guy. FML

I find it odd that the mother didn't verify what you would come as if she knew her kid hated clowns. Usually the costume of the entertainer is discussed beforehand.

hey money is money! There is not much of a difference between a clown and a princess regardless of gender at your age. ;-)

Why the hell were you hired if the son is afraid of clowns??!?!?!?

You didn't discuss specifics before you showed up?

as long as the kid had fun and was laughing....besides its his b-day not urs lol nd ur getting paid so *** it

Hahaha like gru was the fairy princess

I'm wondering why you guys didn't determine a costume/theme before you showed up. O.o

Gender roles suck, guys and girls can wear opposite gender clothes and formal attire if they want to, their choice.

Of course they can. Stereotypes aren't laws, you know.

But it wasn't his choice. And clearly he doesn't want to, or he wouldn't have posted on FML about it.

The question is, why would you hire a clown if your kid doesn't like them, or is scared by them?

It's a good thing your co-worker's outfit fit!

So? Good opportunity to get out of gender roles because they are pretty stupid. Theres nothing Wrong in wearing a princess costume as a man to entertain Children.

There something wrong with it if the costume was the wrong size, which it most likely was since it belonged to OP's female coworker. Would you want to spend four hours in clothes that are too small?
