Today, I was working a kid's birthday party dressed as a clown. The child's mother made me change because he was scared of clowns. The only thing I had in my car was a princess costume that was owned by a girl co-worker. So for 4 hours I had to entertain in a tight pink dress. I'm a guy. FML

I find it odd that the mother didn't verify what you would come as if she knew her kid hated clowns. Usually the costume of the entertainer is discussed beforehand.

hey money is money! There is not much of a difference between a clown and a princess regardless of gender at your age. ;-)

I bet they laughed so hard and the adults probably thought u where a child molester or a cross dresser. Hahaha

The mother hired a costumed entertainer but didn't bother specifying what costume he'd be wearing? That's especially stupid if her son has a phobia of clowns, since that's probably the most common costume for a kid's birthday party.

Unless OP went dressed as IT, of course.

There sure are a lot of FMLs that have to do with men being ashamed of doing anything vaguely feminine. It's sad what that says about our culture's view of women. You wouldn't see an FML that said "I had to wear a fake mustache today. I'm a girl. FML". Get over it, OP.

uuhm a mustache is very different from a dress. i would rather jump in a pile of shit than wear a dress

I'm sure the kid won't forget that birthday party.

Why the hell would she call an entertainment company if her kid didn't like clowns? Who did she expect him to dress as, Ted Nugent?

Gruuuuuub !!!! Secondly, why in the hell did she hire a clown if the little booger eating moron is afraid of clowns?

... The mother should know if their child likes clowns or not before she gets one for their birthday

hairy dude in a dress around kids sounds much scarier than clowns
