Today, I was walking home from when I passed an old woman sitting on the curb of Walmart begging for change. I gave her my last dollar and felt good about it. Five minutes later I saw the same woman driving away in a car. I don't even own a car. FML

It was a dollar right? If you feel that bad about it..I'll friggin mail you a dollar. Not a big deal. Don't be dumb enough to fall for scammers. Know the true beggars and the fakes.

Has no one else noticed that he says "today I was walking home from when" It doesn't make sense! And you cares, its only a dollar, she can't even buy gas with it

One of the local news outlets did a story on these panhandlers. They watched for a few days and counted the take. It averaged around $600 a day. Give money to legitimate charities, never to street beggars. Like someone said earlier, pay street performers but never give a penny to a beggar.

Man, that old lady's got class. Real class. She probably scammed half the city into giving her money to pay for that car. But still, it's only a dollar. I think you can move past this.

Don't sweat it I don't have a car either. Karma always finds it's way around. You had good intentions that's what really matters.

That's why I don't give money to people on the street, most of the time they're lying. Sometimes on my way to school I see a woman in a wheelchair going car to car asking for money claiming she's poor and her kids are starving. It would be a lot more convincing if she wasn't always perfectly clean and wearing designer clothes of some sort. -_-
