Today, I was performing in an orchestra concert. My stand partner and I commented on people in the audience the whole time, saying how fat they were, etc. Towards the end of the concert, I realized we were sitting right by a microphone, and the whole audience could hear us. FML

It is incredibly unprofessional to talk at all during a concert, you completely deserved that.

Aaaah, I think you got bashed on enough for one post, so I'll just leave it alone.

If you work in a professional orchestra, and you misbehave even during a routine REHEARSAL and somebody catches you, you'll be fired and replaced by the break/intermission... and good luck finding work in that particular city again - your former employer would pretty much blacklist you.

Part of me wants to call shenanigans on this one... I've played my fair share of orchestra (and band) concerts and I've never seen any mics at the indoor concerts. At the outdoor pops concerts, yeah, but you usually aren't on a stage outside. And how can you see the audience if you're onstage and the stage lights are on and the house lights down? Hopefully now you'll either STFU during concerts or scout out the mics beforehand and either turn it around so it isn't facing you or turn it off.

Wow, hopefully you learned to keep your mouth shut. Odds are you didnt learn jack shit though since you were sitting there making fun of people you didnt know to begin with. YDI.
