Today, I was out with my girlfriend at a club. As a slow dance began, a guy approached and asked, "May I cut in?" My girlfriend surprised me by saying, "Sure!" As I was about to protest, the guy cut me off and said, "Sorry miss, I was asking him." FML

I hope you danced with him as revenge for your gf saying yes. That would show her!

I would've turned gay instead of staying with a girl like that

That's what your GF gets for being pompous and saying yes! I hope you rethink your relationship a little. (Also I'd have danced with him just to show her!)

Imagine if the girl had refused the cut-in. I can guarantee she'd be bitched out of the club by the guy and his bros for turning him down. Plus, OP would be stooping to her level by dancing with the guy, even though the guy was gay and saw OP dancing with a female, which would typically indicate a preference for the opposite sex. Maybe I just don't understand club etiquette these days.

You should take it as a compliment. Hardly an FML...

While I'm assuming you weren't interested in the guy, props to him for having the guts to ask. That takes a lot of courage. And at least you can take it as a compliment, op. Too bad your gf doesn't seem as appreciative of what she's got (at least in this particular instance).

I hope you danced with him to show her your revenge

I don't understand why this is an FML. That was a compliment, and a good one at that.

So many of you (including the OP) seem to have missed what this other dude did. He asked to cut in, girl said yes, dude says no, I'm asking your boyfriend (OP) if he's ok with this. Dude wasn't asking OP to dance! Other dude has bro-code sorted and gets my respect for not being a douche

Just because you have a different understanding of this story doesn't mean everyone else is wrong. Actually, I'd say you are very probably wrong, for two reasons: 1/ OP was there, you weren't. If that's how he understood it, it means that's how it happened. 2/ If things were as you say, the FML would have stopped after the girlfriend said yes.

OP could have perceived it wrong misunderstandings happen all the time in everyday life
