can i stand beside u next time on the subway
Something similar happened to me, a few years ago. I was on a extreeeeemely packed subway car, and I was with my girlfriend. She had been sitting, and was standing as the station was approaching, so I did my best to reach back to help her steady herself. She grabbed my hand, we interlocked fingers (please, hold your "awww"s to the end) and headed out the door with a bunch of other people...when suddenly I realize my girlfriend's walking out on the opposite side I thought she was on. It turned out the girl whose hand I grabbed, and the guy whose hand my girlfriend grabbed, were also boyfriend and girlfriend, so we ended up all having a laugh, and we decided to get pretzels together. Not really a FML moment, but just thought I'd share.
If your brain "knows" that something is something that it's not really it can play tricks on you.
cool story bro
Omg I love this.
#3, that's such a cute memory! :3
Thanks, #4. :)
#3 Great story. I try to accidentally grab someone else's hand instead of my wife's hand all the time. I keep hoping someday that someone will just go along with it, but apparently nobody wants to trade with me :( FML
Today, I accidentally sprayed my hand with axe, but at first thought nothing of it. But when I was on the subway, this really cute girl randomly started to caress my hand! The axe effect really works! But then she moved her head and her smile died and was replaced by a look of horror, and she quickly darted away, the very second she saw my face. FML.
It could have been worse. At least the alien hand didn't have leprosy, man.

I got more enjoyment reading #3's story than I did this FML.
