You deserve it for first of all, doing blind dates. Second, if I had a blind date (hypothetically speaking), I'd ask my friend his name, what he does for a living, where he's from, basic things. That way I would have put 2 and 2 together that it was my ex. So YDI for agreeing to meet a stranger.
