Today, I took my kids to the doctor. In the waiting room, a six year old boy walked up to me, punched me in the crotch, and ran away with my glasses. When the kid's parents made him give me my glasses back, he spat on them. FML

I would go up to the parents, get their names and address, and then tell the doctor to treat the pain for being punched in the crotch, and tell him to bill those parents. If they refuse, go from the doctors office and go straight to small claims court and file the paperwork

Hey if the kid caused damage, why should the OP have to pay for it if the parents are not going to willingly? Sorry but I have had stuff damaged by kids to often to list, and a majority of the time, the parents are like "well it happens" and ignore that they should pay for it. When my kid caused damages, the first thing I did is tell them to tell me how much to fix it. Its called being responsible

Mike is right. My father was quite like that, and even other parents compliment what a good boy I was. I'm 14 now, and I really thank my father for being responsible, and not just another,"Oh, he broke a one of your windows, how cute" kind of parents.
