I find it surprising that OP expected that everyone did it. Maybe her mommy taught her as some convoluted potty training method and she just thought it was norm. Either way, made me laugh a lot. :D

This would make this a lot less weird. Lots of people have weird quirks brought on through childhood..... although actually, even if this is something like that, it's still strange she never realized until now that she's the only one.
