Today, my girlfriend of 2 years broke up with me because she said I was more of a woman than she was. I yelled out, "I HATE YOU!" and started to cry. She then took a tampon out of her purse, handed it to me, laughed, and walked away. FML
Today, I told the woman that I've had a crush on for some time how I felt. She laughed so hard that water sprayed from her nose and hit me in the face. FML
Today, I told my girlfriend I loved her. She left and never came back. FML
Today, I finally built up the courage to confess my love to the girl of my dreams. She turned me down. When I asked her about all the recent receptive behavior toward me, she replied, "I thought it'd be funny." FML
Today, I confessed my feelings to the love of my life. She laughed and said, “Nah, you’re like a brother to me, I can’t see you that way.” This after I drained my wallet for her birthday, brought her flowers and comforted her when her dog passed away, and fixed her car every time it broke down. FML
Today, I poured my heart out to my girlfriend with a serenade. After I finished, she told me she'd come over to tell me she'd found someone else and wanted to break up. FML
Today, I was out of town on a work trip. I'd fought with my wife before leaving, and I felt bad, so I called her and poured my heart out, telling her how much I loved her. She sighed and said, "Okay, anyway…" and complained about bills and chores for ten minutes, then wouldn't say she loved me. FML
Today, I confessed my feelings to the girl I've been in love with for three years. Her response was to well up, start crying, and ask me why I had to have chosen her. FML
Today, I fell in love with a girl who used to love me. She doesn't anymore. FML
Today, I told the girl I've been seeing for a while about the strong feelings that I have for her and that I was falling in love. She told me my words made her realize what it felt like to be in love. My words were so powerful, in fact, that she ran right back into the arms of her ex boyfriend. FML

this has to be the most common theme ever: "I told a stranger I've secretly loved/stalked them forever then they laughed/called the police. FML." Seriously? This place has more stalkers than facebook...

The problem isn't that love can only last so long, it's that this guy is lame enough to be in love with a woman for 22 years who obviously does not love him back, never say anything but continue pining away, then when he does he thinks it's appropriate to tell strangers. It's not boring, it's creepy. No on can assume that he's ugly, but they can assume that he's pathetic.

First, of all, you should have the op should've manned up a long time ago, no wonder she didn't take you seriously. Second of all, if he is for some reason "in love" then it is not as bad as you think, if a person is in love that doesn't mean they are stalking the person or creeping on the person, because that is not what love is. And Mr. "Average FML Commenter", firstly, most people on this website are teenagers, who probably aren't getting laid on a regular basis. A long with that is the fact that you seem to treat women as an object instead of a person with individual feelings and emotions.

Someone who is "in love" with someone for 22 years and doesn't do anything has issues. It is creepy and whether he's a stalker or not there is something seriously wrong with his psyche. Also, pretty sure "Average FML Commenter" was being facetious. It doesn't take much to figure that out :/

Most of this is because women think men are incapable of feeling emotion, since we rarely display any emotion to them. But the reason we rarely show them our emotions is because they will either stomp on them, twist your words around to make it sound like you don't really love them, or store them so they can use them against you later. Lol. I did this to a girl I knew throughout school. Senior year I spilled the beans. But that was like..6 years? Not 22. I feel ya. Got turned down, and never spoke again. Haha.
