Today, I got an acceptance later to a great boarding school in India for my senior year of high school. I sent them a letter telling them I wouldn't go, because I just got back with my ex-boyfriend. I just got a text from my boyfriend. Guess who's my ex again? FML

Today, my boyfriend informed me that he'd resolved all the issues with his ex and is getting back together with her. Normally I could tolerate this if it weren't for the fact that I just moved to a different country to live with him, and turned down a university and a scholarship. FML

Today, I was accepted to college and received a scholarship equal to almost half the tuition. After sharing this news with my parents, I spent the next 35 minutes getting yelled at about how I wasn't allowed to go there because my boyfriend might go there. FML

Wow, you deserve that. Anyone who lets some guy (who had, I'm assuming, already broken up with you previously) dictate what they do with their life is just stupid. If he really supported you and cared about you, he would have encouraged you to take this opportunity.

YDI Where were your parents and/or guardians in all this? No adult in their right mind would allow their child to make such a life altering decision on their own especially based on such a dumb reason. You are obviously not mature enough to make important decisions on your own so next time you talk it over with someone more responsible than you first!
