Today, I was out with my boyfriend, when he started browsing wedding rings. He found a ring, proposed to me right there in front of a crowd, and then was promptly denied a payment plan. We left without a ring. FML

OP, you sound a lot like my girlfriend. Get over yourself, no guy wants to be pressured into giving his girlfriend an engagement ring, or even "something pretty". If he wants to spend the rest of his life with you, he'll ask. YDI
