Actually from my experience many bullies (girls atleast) are *******. Something similar happened to me- After years of getting picked on by this ***** I called her out in front of her friends to fight in the middle of the cafeteria and she backed down... then I harassed her for the next months or so and got in trouble :P

The school system is indeed broken, but that's why you need to learn how to manipulate it to your advantage. Otherwise, you can continually end up in the middle of ridiculous misunderstandings and even trouble, for practically nothing. Unfortunately, sometimes there's nothing you can do about it, so it helps to work on keeping your thoughts positive despite the frustration it's causing you.

I agree. He deserves it because he didn't kick the kid's ass! Also he deserves it because if the kid cried over being stood up to, maybe he shouldn't have waited so long to quit being the human punching bag.... But it's also sucks that all school systems are terrible now.

Thing is, my old prep school was (and still is) completely non-violent. If you punch somebody, you get an instant expulsion. No questions asked. They make exceptions at times (depending on how much $$$ you have) but you can't really fight back. Being said, your bully was probably faking. FYL. It always sucks being bullied or fighting back. Or being a tattletale.

It is. My friend was being harrassed by her ex at school, online, and what have you. She reported with evidence of this and they did absolutely nothing. This happened until he graduated. Their logic is to stay out of things or it'll get worse. Uh. Sure. idiots.

I dissagree with you 2. Good for you op. You stood up for yourself, but you shouldnt have done so in a fasion that would make him cry cuz then your the verbal bully. Prove to him that you are better then the petty rivalries using words to make him question his own actions (it does work. Words are a VERY powerful thing)

I'd look on the bright side here: 1) The bully's feelings are hurt. Assuming those weren't fake tears, you just earned a point. Keep it up and maybe he'll beg you to leave him alone (this method will probably result in more detention). 2) Detention isn't that bad, getting him to cry was worth it. If he's an ass to most people, let a couple folks you know hate him in on how he's a crying little baby, and the story will be around the school in a few hours. He'll then be bullied cause he's a universally easy target.

Something similar happened to my friend and his ex got a lot of people to hate him (including some of my other friends who never met him) and he got tired of her shit and got the ******* cops involved. He won that dispute.
