Today, I was flirting with a girl I like when she confessed she was into another guy. I then proceeded to wingman for that guy, telling her to take her shot with him before the chance went away. Effectively sticking myself into the friendzone. FML

Exactly what I was thinking, Doortje. This has happened to me and I was laughing to myself the whole time. My husband kept politely rebuffing the girl but she wouldn't take the hint even though he'd told her he was married. He finally leaned over and asked me to explain to her that he was uninterested. I clarified things for the would-be homewrecker in no uncertain terms. FYL, OP, for being a terrible flirt or YDI for not taking the hint.
