Wow look at all these little brats on here agreeing with her son. If I had done that my Dad probably would have taken the car back and never given me anything that nice again! If he really felt that way he should have still said thank you acted grateful and then sold it later on. Even my 3 year old knows it's rude not to say thank you and act happy when someone gives you something!
I think that, although the kid should have been more grateful, as a parent he/she should have known whether or not his/her son wanted to go to college and if they had enough money to do so. It was nice of the parent to buy their child something grand and expensive for their birthday but, as a parent, shouldn't the education of your child be your number one priority? You child shouldn't be the one to have to remind you that they need an education and the funds to get it. Its a parent's responsibility to plan for their child's future, and for that YDI.
i mean, he has a point...sometimes you have to think about what someone would really want as a gift rather than getting them something you just assume they'd like.
Ungrateful little beast. I'd tell him if he wants to be such an jerk that I'll keep the car and he can walk home, somewhere else.
Faith in humanity somewhat restored.
Giving a car as a gift to your child is only correct when they are 16, noob.
