Today, I bought a book by a #1 bestselling author, hoping it would distract me from having my manuscript rejected, as well as learn what made their book so successful. Now I realize I need to say stuff like, "I wish I had great boobs (hehe... boobs)" to get my works published. FML

What damn # 1 best seller did u pick up. Are u writing fiction or non fiction. Ya think u can pick up one book & discover what everyone is reading. What an idiot u are. How many times was Harry Potter rejected before an agent finally did. Do u even know the answer to that? Keep feeling sorry for yourself, everybody loves a pity party

Actually, I totally agree with 22's comment. Why isn't OP still trying to get their book published? OP shouldn't get their inspiration from other books, but instead from whatever they are writing about specifically. So unless OP's manuscript was rejected numerous times, they should stop feeling sorry for themselves and just keep trying!

Rejection is a hard thing when you work so hard on something, and then to read crap, it kinda hurts...and many authors admit they get ideas and inspirations from other authors and encourage writers and aspiring authors to do the same.
