That sucks. :/ I'm sorry to hear that, OP. I mean even if you really aren't that good, there's a line between brutal honesty and just being rude, and your family crossed it. At least you have the nerve to try. I bet half your family would cop out if they had to try something like that. Not many people are genuinely confident enough to try out for stuff like that, and I commend you for being bold and going for it. You should try anyway. You're probably at least a little better than your fam gives you credit for, and even if you fail you can just practice hard and try again next time. Keep your head up and don't let people, even your loved ones, make you down on yourself.
