Today, an old friend and I reconnected. Everything was going fine until he threatened to visit me at work. I didn't know he knew my place of employment, so I replied, "Do you know where I live too?" He answered, "Would you hate me if I did?" FML

I hope he was joking but i'd keep my distance from him just to be safe. Goodluck!

Wow, that must feel a bit creepy. Perhaps he's been stalking you. I would say you should run like hell, and run far

Im private about where i live...' Hi op i live out of the city limits off the main road and shit' i can see why he knows where you live

@ 47 so now we know she lives in Texas outside a city but not on a main road. It's not like she's sent us her post code and a google map reference lol Texas is massive - even knowing the city is hardly going to help

Her profile gives her name, City and birthdate, it wouldn't be hard to figure out where and who she is from that information, a quick google search could give you a starting point, However her little stalker friend is still creepy given I believe her about her Facebook privacy because mine is set the same I'd print out evidence of the convo and keep a record of all future convos

Run very far away...and maybe change the way he contacted you

haha i like it how your profile states "i have no secrets"

old friend? more like old time stalker wtf this guys is creepy as hell... good luck trying to.get rid of him shit you need like big security systems if this dude knows where you live and has a thing for you

That is creepy :( All the same, the downvoteds have a point, perhaps a little less personal information is best. It shouldn't matter but posting things under your real name isn't always the best idea. Delete and block on Facebook, make sure everything is friends only - including photo albums, they often are friends of friends, and likely he'll try adding your friends, you're bound to have some who accept anyone. If needed also trim your friends list and be careful of who you add, a lot try false accounts. The less access he gets, the more likely he gives up. Don't respond to anything, just ignore him and document. Long post I know, but while hopefully the creep stops now, I think by responses in hardly alone in worrying for you stranger :)

It's easy to find people on the website pipl. That could've been his "someone."

If hes a friend from high school maybe he knows others that know you. I still dont know whats so bad about someone from high school knowing where you work or live. Everytime I meet someone from high school they give me the story on everybody they know. Who's married to whom, who divorced whom, who works where, whos out of work. Who's a drunk, Who's a pot head. Who had children. Who moved away. People know. When you talk to your parents they talk to their friends, who are your friends parents. If this was a total stranger I'd get it but its someone you know and called a freind.
