My stepsister went through some similar stuff. Her mom (my stepdad's ex wife) would constantly talk shit about my mom and my sisters and I whenever she would say something good about us. She would always talk about what a bad person their dad was and there was just a lot of emotional manipulation at play. Your dad sounds awesome for taking you to Vegas, so I'd just ignore your mom and have fun on your trip!
